About

Profile Picture, Mandi EhmanAs a work-at-home mom since my first daughter was born in 2004, I’ve done everything from call center work to building a successful career as a transcriptionist, all with one goal in mind: to be home with my children. Even though I started my first blog in 2004 (a typical mommy blog that documented my daily life as a WAHM), I didn’t discover the world of professional blogging – which brought with it incredible writing, new business models and extensive social networks – until 2007.

It didn’t take me long to discover my passion for this form of blogging, from the technical aspects of setting up a blog, playing with the CSS and customizing a standard template to be my own, to the business side of writing for an audience, monetizing my blogs and building a successful business model.

Although I graduated summa cum laude in 2003 from UMUC with a bachelor of science in business administration and a focus in marketing and worked as the office manager, marketing specialist and licensed real estate agent for a successful real estate team during my college years, few of my work-at-home experiences had allowed me to fully utilize my education and skills.

I knew I wanted to combine my passion for staying home with my children with my love for all things business in my role as a work-at-home mom. As an organized, driven and ambitious person, blogging, writing and web development have given me an outlet to combine those things in a way that allows me to prioritize my family, contribute to our household income and use my skills to help others achieve their goals as well.

As a successful blogger myself, I love to help others take their blogs to the next level by helping them with the behind-the-scenes aspects of blogging — from building a beautiful, easy-to-navigate site to completing a long and detailed project.
